Moving Weekend
It was inevitable. The end of bachelor living. Intimidating? Sure. Worth it? HECK yeah! It's an upgrade, if you ask me. I packed up or threw out a lot of stuff from my apartment most of this past week to make room for the pre-wife. Big job, I know but again, worth it. Then on Saturday (which was the best day for moving since it was so cool but wasn' rainy), the Mulcahys and Miah helped Ali and I load up stuff from her apartment and move it to my apartment. This is what we used to transport everything.

Alright, we didn't actually use this car, because it wouldnt be big enough for all the stuff we were moving. Even if we piled stuff high, this car would've been crushed by the sheer weight of our cargo. Contrary to popular belief, "cushy couch" is not synonmymous with "light couch." In any case, "my apartment" is now becoming "our apartment", and it is awesome. It feels overdue, you know?
Thanks to Miah (for helping so much and even throwing yourself into a wall to make sure that couch made it in here), to Sean for being a work horse (even though you had freshly blistered hands), and to Grace for cheering us on (and not fighting me on carrying that bucket of blankets).
PS: 15 days!!!
PPS: I leave for Hawaii in 4 days!!!

SHOWER TIME!

Let me begin by saying that Ali and I have some AWESOME friends in Spokane. The lovely team of Grace Mulcahy and April McGonigal threw a couples shower for the future Paus last weekend. It was such a fun time! In all honesty, I had my reservations. Guys don't really get to do showers, so I didn't know what to expect. But I had a blast! Important people. Check. Beach/tropical theme. Check. Incorporated all our wedding colors. Check. Involved rum. Check. You really can't go wrong there. Terry and Suzette McGonigal were gracious enough to let us have the shindig at their beautiful home. Grace came up with a trivia game about Ali and I which was so entertaining. See if you know the answers to these.
1. Where did Ali and Tyler meet?
2. What/where was their first date?
3. Where was their first kiss?
4. What is their favorite thing to do on a date night?
5. What kind of tattoo did Tyler get for Ali and where is it?
6. How long did Ali and Tyler know each other before they started dating?
7. Where are they going on their honeymoon?
8. What is Tylers favorite quality in Ali?
9. What is Alis favorite quality in Tyler?
10. What is their favorite TV show to watch together?
11. What is their favorite hobby/activity to do together?
Boymook was the decisive winner. Good job! We were asked a questions about our song. Ali and I, sadly don't have a song. So this is making first dance songs a struggle. If you have suggestions, we'd LOVE to hear them. Seriously, comment, text, email...contact us somehow and make suggestions.
Thanks so much to Mulcahys and McGonigals for celebrating us so well. Thanks to Terry and Suzette for letting us invade your place. Thanks to Kurt and Rochelle, Matt and Kari, Boymook, Julia, and Josh for coming and showing us love. All of you were too kind with your support and care, your food, and your gifts.
PEACE!

Run and Gun
Topic of the day...registering/registries. We have provided gift hints...via electronic scanning gun. Awesome. It is kind of a weird concept, but it was tons of fun to do together. Registering made the space that Ali and I will be sharing very visually clear. More than being excited about our towels, bedding, kitchen stuff (including the Oster juicer mentioned a while ago), and everything else...it gets me more and more excited about sharing my life with my favorite Minnesotan. Look at how seriously she wields that scanner-gun dealie. So necessary!
Just an FYI, we are registered at:
-Target
-Kohls
-Macys
Some of our favorites:
-Movies
-Costco
-Games
Again, another FYI, know that your PRESENCE (at our wedding in Hawaii, and/or reception in Minnesota, and/or in our lives in general) is much more important than your PRESENTS. Honest.
Have a good weekend folks!

43 days
It's been ages since my last post. Here's (some of) what we've been working on...- Getting shoes for the Tan and Pono to wear in the wedding
- Finding a ring bearer (which we may have locked in today!)
- Finding an emcee for the reception (ditto on the potential locking down)
- Working with bruddah Kris on songs to play during the ceremony
- Wrapping up pre-marital counseling (WOO HOO for the Moulders!)
- Getting favors ordered (they look AWESOME! Thanks, Buck!)
- Looking into renting a photo booth (Thoughts, anyone? Yay or nay?)
- Finding me a shirt to wear to the wedding
- Making those AMAZING invites (this was all Ali and company...I just did some taping and the mailing)
- Having 2 bridal showers in MN (Ali had such a great time and brought back some awesome stories of her visit. Thanks for taking care of her, ladies.)
- Looking for wedding bands
- Making a play list for music at the reception (any requests?)
- Getting another Ali-related tattoo (pictures will be here soon. Thanks again, Buck!)
Alright, that last one doesn't really relate to the wedding but it is still cool. I think, anyway. In any case, all this stuff is happening (or needing to happen) on top of Ali and I getting crazy busy with work as the academic year wraps up. There's SO much wedding stuff to do still. That list is not at all complete. WOW. Inhale. Hold. Exhale. It is all going to be great, I am sure of that. We will get there.
Thanks for all of your help, support, prayers, positive thoughts, well wishes, and care thus far. Ali and I are blessed to have great friends and family surrounding us right now.
That's it for now. Stay tuned. More information as the countdown continues...

Only 70 more days!
Tpau and I have been busy trying to balance a busy life in the world of college students with planning and making wedding arrangements. We have finally purchased our tickets for Hawaii, after most everyone else. We've also decided to go on a cruise for our honeymoon, out of Los Angeles.
I had a great gift of going home to MN the end of March. My best girls, Karena, Leslie and Rachael threw me a fabulous shower with some great ladies on Saturday. We had such a good time, and Tyler and I were blessed with so many wonderful gifts that we will put to use right away. On Sunday, Marge, Becky and Susie were sweet enough to have another shower for family. They did a great job playing games, one included a quiz on this very blog. We again, were gifted be so many things that we'll be able to use in our new home at Whitworth University, which is where we will be living next year. Thank you to all of you who have been so supportive of this adventure that Tyler and I are jumping into.
Lastly, I want to make sure I give my mom a special thanks. The planning of these two events is something that Tyler and I could not do without her. She has given us so much help with the arrangements and planning of both the wedding and MN reception. We can't say thank you, enough, Mom, we love you!
Alright, so things are going great and we're just so excited about this upcoming wedding and celebration. Until next time...
Ali
